Abstract
The present study tried to investigate different aspects of collocations and
Iranian EFL students’ performance (Male and Female) at different levels of
interchange Books in collocational cloze test. For the study, eight
collocational cloze tests each with 20 deletions were developed based on
students’ textbook to measure the subjects’ knowledge of grammatical and
lexical collocations. At last, the data Analysis showed that there are
significant differences between the performance of participants on first word
deletion and second word deletion in collocational cloze test, but there aren't
any significant differences between the performance of female and male
participants in collocational cloze test. Implications for teaching and research
are discussed.
