Abstract
This study was conducted with 299 intermediate EFL learners, including juniors and seniors. The purpose was to explore the effect of online reading strategies on the choice of offline reading strategies of the participants. Different types of instruments such as online reading strategies questionnaire, reading strategies questionnaire, TOEFL reading comprehension subtest and online reading comprehension test were employed. As the results of this study revealed, not only is there a significant relationship between online and offline reading strategies but there is also a significant relationship between learners’ online reading strategies and their choice of offline reading strategies. The results also showed that IT literacy could be an effective factor on the learners’ online reading ability.
